The lake is known as a class A Musky Lake, but other species abound including Walleye, Crappie, Bass, Perch, and pan-fish. If fishing is not what you are after, there are also water-sports to enjoy. The property has 100 feet of slowly sloping sandy bottom frontage. My friends have children that love to play around the dock. Even at 200 feet out, the sandy bottom is only 4-5 feet deep. This lake home has spectacular views and is an "open" concept. The house is 2,700 square feet with three huge bedrooms, all with king beds and all with two additional twin beds in the form of trundles. Additional den room features a pull out sofa for which we provide a supplementary thick mattress pad. The house has two full service kitchens, one on each level, perfect for multiple families! There is an additional 600 s.f. in the "barn," a fully finished separate building near the house. The barn features a 300 s.f. living space on the lower floor and a 300 s.f. sleeping space for 8 on the upper floor. The living space has a couch, reclining chair, big screen HDTV, wifi, foosball, and a wood stove. The sleeping space includes a queen bed and two bunk beds with full size on the bottom and twin on the top. A red cedar sauna for up to 8 in the boathouse completes the property. Fish, hike, bike, swim, canoe, eat S'mores and more at The Wascottage. Enjoy all the amenities and complete privacy at this hand hewn log cabin on 38 acres of forested land with 800 feet of lakeshore on pristine Spider Lake in Wascott, Wisconsin. There is a trail system within the property for easy access to hiking and biking. The wildlife on the property is amazing. You will see deer, turkeys, geese, herons, eagles, trumpeter swans, ducks and the occassional badger. For ATV and snowmobile enthusiasts, Trail 41 is next to the property and connects to hundreds of miles of groomed trails. For those who love to fish, Spider Lake is a 100 acre private lake with very few anglers. Three pound bass and 6 pound northerns are not uncommon and the crappies are plentiful. A 20 foot pontoon with a 25 hp motor is provided as well as a canoe and paddleboat. Swimmers in the group will enjoy the shallow, easy access to the sandy-bottomed lake. As dinner approaches, you can either plan to go to a nearby restaurant or grill up some grub on the Weber and dine on the patio overlooking the lake. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that’s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean. Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days. What you should bring: -S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat -A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling -Bedding and pillows -Lanterns and lighting -Firewood for the campfire -Water Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! Guided Rock Climbing Trip - $100 Head to the North Shore to climb the Steep walls at Shovel Point or Palisade Head. We have the hardware, ropes, helmets, harnesses and some shoes. $100/person. We do have birds (ducks, guinea hens and peacocks) and an alpaca and goat, so all of your animals animals must be leashed. Please admire our animals from a distance. The Old Village Hall, finished in 1929, was used as a court house, jail house, and fire house and now has become a living space. This is the lower level of the building, complete with a fireplace and laundry, one king bed, one queen bed, and one queen roll out. There is a patio with a fire pit, and enough room to park your truck and boat, four wheelers or snowmobile. In close proximity to Spirit Mountain and Mont Du Lac ski resorts, as well as Jay Cook State Park and the Munger Trail. The Oliver and Boyscout boat landings to the St. Louis River are just down the road. This river will take you into Lake Superior. The main floor offers a comfortable eat-in kitchen that has been updated and has all new stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is well stocked for all of your cooking needs and offers dinnerware for 8 plus. The dining room seats 8 and the kitchen table seats 4. A sunroom with large windows that open to the river and offer fabulous views of the water and train bridge. A large living area with comfy seating and TV complete the main level. The second level hosts a full bath with jacuzzi tub and shower. There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds - one with river views and large deck. The third kids bedroom has a full over twin bunk with a staircase that leads up to the 4th floor which is all set up as a hang out space for the kids. The walk-out basement is partially finished with a mudroom leading out to the steps to the water. There is a newly updated ¾ bath, a main room with a pool table, a washer and dryer and an extra refrigerator. The yard is private and level street side with beautiful gardens. The gorgeous cherry woodwork is complemented with 11 pieces of original stained glass and one of a kind hand painted stained glass from Duluth's St. Germain Studios. Note the crystal chandeliers. You will enjoy the comforts of a large cozy living room and elegant dining room. The modern kitchen features professional level Jenn Air appliances. Don't forget to connect to the Bluetooth speakers (in the living room and connected to the front outdoor porch) The main living quarters are on the second level. We named them: North Star, North Shore and North Woods. Each bedroom is equipped with a new large Smart TV. Grandpa Glenn had a game room built in the basement where adults could gather for games and libations. Later on, the grand kids took over and after that the area became a hobby room. We bring back the space as Glenn's Grotto featuring a family room and a separate game area PLUS a quarter bath. We have a large screen TV, a foosball table, card and game table and more. Grandpa Glenn never allowed cigars at his card games. Neither do we. Make memories!
